The maps below show the five community and marsh focus areas for the Deal Island Peninsula.  The focus areas were selected by using the flood vulnerablity index maps created by the Eastern Shore GIS Cooperative, input from community members, researchers and resource managers and a selection criteria developd by the project team.  In each focus area further understanding of the vulnerabilities will be explored and ways to reduce risk and increase resiliency to the impacts of flooding, erosion and storm events. Stay tuned there will be upcoming activities in each of the focus areas in the near future.
